B Update

Well it's Sunday night and B and Kim are still at Children's.
The issue now is her inability to tolerate much of anything on her stomach.
Yesterday a N-G tube was placed for feedings. At first the goal was to use a gravity type method for the feedings, however this has proven too much for her to handle. She vomited the feedings up, which as you can imagine is not good when your jaws are wired shut.
This morning she was hooked up to a feeding pump so she can be fed lower amounts over a 24 hour period. So far, so good.
She has to stay in the Hospital until they are sure she can tolerate the feeds. If all goes well she will come home Monday night. Right now it looks like she will be on the feeding pump for at least a couple of weeks. Anyway, she is looking better, the swelling is going down and her color is good.
Cross your fingers hopefully she will be home Monday night.

Hang in there, Super Bee. The worst is behind you. The docs will get it figured out. We'll continue to cover you in prayer.

"Father God, I pray that you send an army of angels to watch over Bethany. Decrease her swelling and allow her to tolerate the feeding tube. Comfort her and ease her pain. Shower her with blessings. Thank you, Lord, for the wonderful doctors and nurses you have placed in her path. Strengthen Kim and Brad as B heads down the road to recovery . Amen"
