MY SON , RANDY, IS SCHEDULED FOR SURGERY ON 3/27/09. IT INVOLVES TWO HERNIATED DISCS IN HIS SPINE (I THINK ITS A4 AND A5) . THEY GO THROUGH
THE FRONT OF THE NECK TO DO THE NECESSARY REPAIRS. I'M SURE YOU MEDICAL
FOLKS OUT THERE KNOW HOW IT IS DONE.
RANDY HAS REQUESTED PRAYERS FOR HIM AND ALSO FOR DR.TOBLER WHO WILL
BE PERFORMING THE OPERATION. SO I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU MARK THE DATE DOWN AND ASK FOR A QUICK RECOVERY FOR HIM. HE HAS BEEN IN QUITE A BIT OF PAIN FOR OVER A YEAR AND HAS CONSUMED SOME HIGH POWERED MEDS TO QUELL THE PAIN BUT HE IS JUST TIRED OF HURTING. THANK YOU FAMILY FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED PARTICIPATION. P.S. THE SURGERY IS SCHEDULED FOR 7:30 A.M.

Ouch! The surgery sounds similar to what Meemaw had many years ago. Is that right, Dad?
We'll make sure Randy is bathed in prayer. And his doctor and medical team, too.
Yep, Linda, you're right.
Also, please let Randy know that Dr.Tobler is the doc who performed Mike's spinal surgery (his was lumbar vertebrae not cervical). Anyway Mike was in constant pain before the surgery and was totally pain free as soon as he woke up in the recovery room. And he has been pain free ever since. Hopefully Randy will find that encouraging.
He will definitely be in our prayers.

Tell Randy that he will be in our prayers thru out this whole ordeal.Yes Linda this is the same surgery that Meems had while we were in Indy a few years ago.It relly helped her with only side effect,her neck was very sensitive to cold on her neck.Wearing turtle neck sweaters or dickie solved the problem,and we are happy with the results.Tell Randy to hang in there and with all the prayers coming his way it hopefully will be a piece of cake.
Good luck Randy. It's amazing what they can do these days. A buddy of mine had the new orthoscopic surgery for a herniated disc and he was back to work in a week. I'm sure everything will be just fine. I'll be thinking of you that day.
