Hey Paps!

We really enjoyed have you and Meems join us for the Sharfe Christmas this year. I'm glad you enjoyed your fruit cake (more about that later!)

Merry Christmas everyone!

The Powers household has been lounging, eating, watching movies and opening presents all day long! Maddox has officially been spoiled with lots of toys that sing and light up! I'll post pictures when I get home and upload them. Merry Christmas to everyone! Luv ya!

Well, we had our whole family here to celebrate the birth of JESUS. Darryl brought some prime rib cooked to perfection. Gloria baked pecan and pumpkin pies. and Icooked a ham, a 5 cheese mac and cheese, potato salad, old fashioned
baked beans, cole slaw, fresh bakery rolls, and a gingerbread cake with caramel icing. Randy and Lisa brought A relish tray, Shawna brought a fresh fruit salad and a really tasty chocolate cake and whipped cream thingy with nuts and stuff. After Eddie gave grace, we threw ourselves into a feeding frenzy that lasted seemingly for hours....and then complained that we ate too much. Same old story every year...but i loved every minute of it. And Geno, save me a piece of Sandys fruit cake...please. Hope to see you soon...Unca Jerry

By the way this is Caveman not Bumblebee!

OK Paps, we will catch up in one fell swoop.

Christmas morning was great, with the kids getting older we actually were able to sleep in until 7:00!!!!

The caveman and crew had a great time at the Hoods, and it sure was nice to be a guest for a change. To keep in line with our family tradition we stopped by the manger at Paul Young's in Mt. Healthy on the way home. Still amazed by the detail of the wax figures, and regardless of how cold it is, you still get a warm feeling inside just from being there.

We think it would be a great idea to get the family back together for a christmas blow out. I am wondering though to control cost (basically because not all of us are "empty nesters" and have 6 of us) if my house would be big enough for such an event. What would the additional headcount be with Unca Jerry and crew? Seems like we had around 35 or so here in the past with room to spare. With a little bit of help we may be able to pull it off while keeping costs at a managable level for everyone.
Thoughts??
