Epic has a really cool philosophy about the connection between employee creativity/dedication and the environment in which they work. The building is packed full of unique art and replicas of things like the NYC subway system and the temple in Raiders of the Lost Ark. I have posted a few pix so you can see what I mean. I wish MY office looked like a place Indiana Jones would be comfortable in!!
This is the hallway that leads to the temple and the golden idol.
The golden idol that Indy tries to replace with a bag of sand. As you walk down the hallway you can hear the giant stone ball rolling towards you. It's awesome!!
A stairway to the second floor. There is also a huge tree in this area that has a playhouse carved out of the trunk. It is large enough to accomodate 2 - 3 people and supplied with pillows for comfortable seating. Employees are encouraged to use the treetrunk space if they are looking for a small, private meeting room with few distractions.
This hallway is modeled after New York's Grand Central Station.
Need a seat? Cat in the Hat will he happy to share his bench with you!
This is the Cabin meeting room. It totally looks like you're in a cabin when you are there. Notice the moose peeking in the door window!
Other themed meeting spaces are: farm, outer space, ice room, jungle, etc.
This is the Endor Tree House. Another private, secluded meeting space offered to the Epic employees. This one will hold more people than the tree trunk but no Ewoks are allowed.
Sooo...what do you think?? Would working in an environment like this make you like your job better and promote your creativity?

WOW! That place is absolutely mind-blowing! If that doesn't get the creative juice flowing, nothing will! Have a great time!
really ,really neat.
I talked to brad and jeff about our christmas get together.,both in agreement to amandas suggestion that we could start early(around noon) so that jeff and belinda could make up here and brad and mike could make starting time for their sat.night gigs...i'll spring for the ham and the rest could bring the dish(s)of their choice.Lets get this settled so amanda will have plenty of time to plan!
Sounds like a good compromise to me!
Thanks for clearing that up Paps! I think it'll work out just fine. That way we won't have to wait so long for our swap gifts!
See the Christmas post for what I'm planning to bring.
